Oceanside was incorporated in 1888. It is just south of the Camp Pendleton Marine Corps base and centered between downtown San Diego and Orange County. Oceanside offers 3 1/2 miles of beaches, a harbor, many parks, and the historic San Luis Rey Mission. The city of Oceanside is divided into three zip codes: 92054, 92056, 92057 and 92058. Oceanside includes the housing development of Rancho Del Oro.

Dennis and Sunshine have lived in Encinitas for over 10 years and are very involved in the community. They were awarded Encinitas Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors of the Year in 2004 and 2000. Dennis is past president of the Encinitas Lions Club. Sunshine is a member of the San Elijo College Choir and WBC (a women's networking group.) They have been the top producers in the Carlsbad office of RE/MAX BY-THE-SEA for 4 of the last 5 years.
